DETERMINATION of journal bearings CLEARANCE with use of the resistance factor of the ROTATION TORQUE AND sommerfeld numbers

ABSTRACT
In the present work analytical expressions for calculation of the Sommerfeld number and resistance factor of the rotation torque in journal bearings are presented. Using these parameters diametrical clearance, also of surfaces roughness of the shaft and bearing are calculated. The method of a choice of the most appropriate way of machining process providing to a mode friction of fluid lubrication of the journal bearing is developed.
